Our Story: From Passion to Perfection
It all began with a needle, thread, and a dream. Jodi Degen, co-founder of Bliss bridal and formalwear, discovered a passion for sewing at a young age. After hand-crafting dozens of gorgeous garments, from prom dresses to the bridal gown of her future sister-in-law, Sweet Things was born.
What started in their home as a custom sewing endeavor soon outgrew its boundaries leading to Jodi and her husband, John, purchasing their first retail location in Rockwell.
When there was no more room to expand that location they were looking for a larger space in the area’s retail hub of Mason City. After the merge of their business and a local formalwear store brought on a name change. Now, Bliss bridal and formalwear stands as a testament to the idea that everyone deserves special clothing to celebrate the biggest days of their lives.
